Troubleshooting

API key dialog does nothing / key not set

• Open Tools → API Key (not a leftover top-nav button)
• On Firefox, wait for the themed dialog; if it fails, V4 falls back to a prompt
• On Torn PDA, use Use my Torn PDA key or paste a faction-capable key
• Re-copy the key so there are no extra spaces

War list empty or generate stuck

• Tools → Refresh War List
• Confirm you are on a faction page while logged into the keyed faction
• Long wars show attack progress from the ranked report + chain hit estimates — wait for the modal
• Shift+click Generate Payout Table to bypass cache

Saved war will not load

• Open Manage from the picker and check size / storage mode
• Results-only wars cannot recast chain math — re-fetch full data if you need to change chains
• If a payload will not parse, generate once more (Shift) to rewrite the cache
• Tools → Purge is last resort; export settings first

Storage full (especially Torn PDA)

• Manage saved wars → Store results only on old wars
• Delete wars you will not pay again
• Raise the Torn PDA script storage limit; V4 rereads the quota

Payouts look wrong

• Save settings, then generate again
• Check Included vs Saver only vs Excluded chains
• Confirm min hits, own-faction exclude, and cost fields for this war
• Weighted: toggle hits vs points. Percentage: confirm base+respect vs proportional
• Apply or clear pending edits

Payment modal failed

• Vault funds and vault permission
• Use search inside the modal if a name does not match
• Stay on the faction vault page the modal opened

Send a useful report

1. Script version (overlay subtitle)
2. Browser or Torn PDA version
3. Error modal screenshot
4. Tools → Start log collection → reproduce → export logs
5. Exported settings (redact if you share in public Discord)

Known limits

• Torn API rate limits still apply; V4 queues and backs off
• Very long wars take time on first fetch; later opens use cache
• Do not run two WarPay installs on the same page
